Egmont, Denmark’s leading media group is seeking an ambitious, structured and proactive person with strong analytical skills to join the M&A team within Egmont’s Corporate Finance.

Business cases, valuation and project management in connection with investments and M&A

In this position your primary work of expertise will be to support M&A and investment for the strategic direction of Egmont’s business units (Nordisk Film, Egmont Publishing, TV2 Norway and Books as well as new areas). Work areas include preparation of business cases, valuation and potentially other aspects of M&A projects such as project management, coordination of due diligences as well as participation in strategic presentations for Group Management and the Board. You will be exposed to changing assignments and sometimes unpredictable work days in an international environment and an ever-changing media landscape.

A natural part of this position is close cooperation with our divisions and other corporate functions such as Corporate Strategy & Development and Corporate Legal as well as external parties, and it is essential that you are able to address key issues and remain focused.

Corporate Finance (covers M&A, Treasury and Procurement) is a small department with great ambitions, and, above all, we want to excel in our core disciplines and to assist our divisions in realising their goals.

What we are looking for?

As a person, you are ambitious, proactive, fact based and structured. You can dig in the detail as well as keep the overview of complex processes. You enjoy acting as an expert within your field. We are looking for a business oriented person who can excel in core disciplines, wants to be best in class and possesses a strong interest in advising the business in M&A matters.

Furthermore:

  • you have approx. 5 years’ experience from a similar position at a major company or M&A boutiques, P/E firm or other relevant parts of investment banking/management consulting
  • you have a relevant theoretical education at Master’s level – (cand.polit, cand.oecon, cand.merc. or similar) and were in the top of your class
  • you have thorough experience with business cases, valuation and other aspects of the M&A process
  • You have project management experience
  • You have negotiation experience incl. negotiating SPAs
  • you are an expert user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • You always ensure that decision material is of the highest quality
  • You have a strong desire to make a difference in the interaction with management
  • Strong English skills are essential. Knowledge of Danish is a prerequisite

You are ready to make an extra effort when deadlines are coming up, but you also possess the necessary patience to work with long term projects and strategies. Your communication and behaviour are direct and open. Also, creating relations comes easily to you.
